A bit about me-
Initially i trained as a nurse and still continue to have a active role within nursing in the NHS, i have gain a wealth of life experiences as well as challenges throughout my career which have proven useful in my progression into the counselling arena.
I am experienced in collaborating with people from a wide range of backgrounds and with a wide range of issues such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, anger, low self-esteem, and stress. I understand that it can be difficult to reach out for support and my aim is to provide a warm and empathetic space to explore issues that are important to the person seeking support and hoping to find meaning and relief.
It is important to find a counsellor that is the right fit for you so I offer a free initial telephone consultation so we can discuss if we are a good fit to work together.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about counselling or to arrange a first appointment.
I started my career in the NHS as a nurse and have worked in a variety of specialities across health and social care for many years. This experience added to my personal life experience has given me a breadth of experience which has helped me to progress into the world of counselling.
I continue to work in health care and counselling in the voluntary sectors for low cost charities as well as in Private Practice.
I am able offer short and long-term counselling which can be explored together at the initial introduction. My practice is a pluralistic approach which is person-centred, collaborative and trauma informed.
